Tracker RSS Feed

The following RSS feed should reflect our ‘track’ from day to day. Hopefully I’ll be able to use the Android MyTracks app to track all of this, and having acheived that, hopefully I’ll be able to upload regularly. In any event, the RSS will provide a nice digest of activity whenever updates are available. It’s viewed pretty well in Google Reader but other readers should work just as well.

Additionally, coming straight to this link should be interesting as well; it’s the original map that the feed is derived from and should be cool to look at.

Mildy Superior Latitude Map

Here’s a somewhat more viewable map. This map will give a semi accurate depiction of where we are. It’s accuracy will depend upon cell coverage, line-of-sight sight to enough gps satellites to triangulate our position, and battery life (which in turn depends upon how sunny it is and how much dumb junk I fiddle with on my phone).

Clif bars

Got another shipment of food today. We each will have 2 clif bars/day and 1 pack of cliff shot blocks/day for the whole trip.

In addition, we each have about 20 freeze dried dinners, a handful of freeze dried breakfasts, about 50 servings of instant oatmeal, about $100 of assorted nuts, berries and M&Ms. Plus the pemmican. We’re thinking of making some homemade jerky. Hopefully this all adds up to 5000 calories/day…
